Inspiration Behind the Campaign: Benny’s Story
Our campaign is centered around a heartwarming children’s coloring book, written by Yael Walfish, LCSW, that narrates Benny’s life-changing experiences. On October 7, 2023, Benny’s life takes a sudden turn when his father joins the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) amidst a war. Confronted with daily disruptions and escalating fears, Benny finds himself battling anxiety and sleeplessness. However, a simple yet impactful drawing of an elephant by his mother helps Benny confront and cope with his emotions, encouraging growth and inner strength.
